Personal Tax Assistant Manager (full time or part time considered)

O’Haras Chartered Accountants are looking to recruit a tax assistant manager to take responsibility for managing a portfolio of private client compliance. Whilst the role will primarily be compliance focussed, there will be the opportunity to assist in advisory work.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing and submitting self assessment tax returns.
  • Reviewing the work and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Meeting potential new clients and existing clients to advise on their tax affairs.
  • Assisting senior staff with ad hoc advisory projects.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt style for different audiences.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work autonomously to drive the firm’s business.
  • Ability to perform technical research
  • Relevant experience to deliver the responsibilities of the role.
  • Appropriate professional qualifications or working towards such qualifications.
